Happy Dance!!

I finished the 3D Miniature House ornament on Saturday, but wanted to wait until the Ornament SAL posting day (last Wednesday of each month).

I don't know if I was supposed to use a different evenweave count than the walls but my roof is way too big. I had to add a fake roof to sew to the walls and keep it all together. Then I glued the shingled roof on top of the fake roof. I think it looks better this way, now the roof hangs over the walls like a real house. Here are photos of the completed house.

I stitched my first BiscoBud awhile ago, but never got it assembled until this month.

I hate stitching with one colour!!

It is so boring stitching with one colour!! I'm almost finished stitching the brown roof. Here is a progress photo.

I still have to backstitch the shingles, and finally sew the roof on top of the house. I hope to show a finished photo on Wednesday (Ornament SAL February update).

IHSW was a success!!

IHSW was a huge success!! We had a long weekend here in Ontario, so I had 3 full days to stitch. I finished stitching the walls, and a bottom on my 3D miniature house. Then I stitched them together. I am half done stitching the roof. Next time I will choose a brown evenweave instead of stitching it. I didn't think it would take that long, but it is a lot of stitches. Here are my progress photos.

I should have time this week to finish the roof and then attach it to the walls.
No time to stitch on Plaid Trousers, but there will be plenty of time after the house is finished.

Theme-a-licious and IHSW

It is International Hermit Stitching Weekend. If you would like to learn more or to participate in IHSW and/or Theme-a-licious, you can follow the links on the left hand side of my blog. This weekend I will be working on Plaid Trousers and/or 3D Miniature House.

It was also the Theme-a-licious mid month update yesterday. Figural February is the theme, I'm pretending that there are people living in my 3D Miniature House, so I can continue working on it.

Here are my before photos. Plaid Trousers, I haven't touched since December. 3D house, I have almost finished stitching the walls.
