Santa's House Happy Dance

I started Poinsettia Place on Friday night because I was still deciding if I was going to stitch the Christmas greenery at the bottom, or repeat the red and white border like the top. My son Jordyn thought it would look better with the greenery at the bottom. Saturday I officially finished Santa's House.

I love working on this project the colours are bright and cheerful. Hopefully, I will be able to catch up and have all of them stitched by Christmas. I am doing all 12 charts in a row as if it was a street view. My project is stitched on 28ct Coffee Lugana (6' long).

May IHSW update

I didn't get Santa's House finished, but I did make some good progress on it.

We spent our weekend working on the basement renovation (laundry room), setting up Frodo's old turtle tank for the fish (3 clown loaches, and an algae eater, we will buy some others later), cleaning the house, and finally some relaxing in the backyard.

IHSW and long weekend

Let the stitching weekend begin. The weather is supposed to be nice and hot (25 degrees)on Sunday. I am planning to sit outside and stitch on Santa's House all day. Maybe I'll have a happy dance by the end of the weekend. Here is my before photo. There are a few more snowflakes, the roof, house, tree, and snow on the ground to finish.

Have a happy May 24 long weekend to all the cross stitchers in Canada!!

Some Stitching

I am slowly stitching the Santa's House. The frogs have been visiting for a few days.

I have ripped out 2 snowflakes, the wreath and the door, so not as much progress as it would have been.

This weekend will be a long one here in Canada, and it is also the IHSW. Hope to have at least one whole day to stitch, if it is nice out I will sit outside and stitch.

Here is a photo of my ort jar.

I couldn't wait any longer to start Santa's Village. Tuesday night during Stitcher's Club, I didn't feel like working on Plaid Trousers, and since I didn't have anything else to stitch I started Santa's House. Here is my progress so far.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Stitching Moms!!
