IHSW, TUSAL and a new start

My weekend was so busy ... We finally got the basement painted. We did some Christmas shopping, wrapped all the presents, put up the Christmas tree, then we put all the presents under the tree (our sons are adults now). I had more trouble trying to keep our turtle from climbing on the presents. She just wanted to be under the tree. Here is a photo of our tree.

It was IHSW this weekend and the only time I had to stitch was an hour on Sunday night in between laundry. I don't have much to show because I started. New project. When I'm Old I Shall Wear Plaid Trousers. Most of my time was spent preparing the fabric on my scroll frame. Here is a progress photo.

And here is a photo of my December TUSAL.

Happy Dance

I finished the Namaste by Ink Circles on Saturday. Not sure if I will frame it or make it into a bell pull. I think I will start kitting all my projects for 2013.

Thought you might like to see how I framed my Victorian Dollhouse. Simple black frame.

December - life got busy

I forced myself to blog everyday in November because of the National Blog Posting Month, then December started and I didn't have any stitching to show so I didn't feel like blogging. Last weekend we primed the basement walls and ceiling (2 coats), then we painted the ceiling (2 coats). Hopefully this weekend gets to see some colour on the walls. I'm sick of looking at white walls (drywall, primer, and ceiling colour are all white). I will show some photos when the renovation is completed.
Now for some stitching updates. I finished outlining the purple motif and finished colouring in the green motif.
