I only worked on one cross stitch project in 2021, but look what happened when I combined my 2 favourite hobbies (cross stitch (26 years) + Animal Crossing (20 years).

I designed my game island to fit around Stewart’s 12 squares. I wanted to frame the project inside an ACNH Switch. I included my island name banner (JewelBeach), flag design (green gem), video game character (Jade), 2 balloons with gifts, Jolly Redd icon, and Pascal (otter floating in bottom left corner). Stewart designed the characters, but I created my own backgrounds for each block. I also added Label with her sisters Sable & Mabel. I love all of the flowers, shrubs and vegetables in the game so I got rid of Daisy Mae and used Leif instead standing in front of his trailer on Harv’s island.
