Animal Crossing - Project Design Size

I’m slowly still filling in the blue controller. I just started my 2nd skein of DMC 3766 blue floss.
Jo from Serendipitous Stitching was asking how large this project is, so I’m posting measurements in case anyone else is curious.
I’m stitching on 28ct evenweave (over 2). Stitch count is 309 stitches wide by 194 stitches high.
Stewart’s original design which is just the island and logo attached in the centre at the top is 160 stitches wide by 150 stitches high.
Each joy con is 55 stitches wide by 194 stitches high.
This is why I have used 3 skeins of DMC 954 floss so far on this full coverage controller.
I think I have used 3 skeins of black floss. It doesn’t look like a lot of black, but the top and bottom rows have 4 full rows of black and down the 2 sides it is 8 full columns of black, plus all of the black buttons.

I forgot to show everyone the birthday card I made for my husband Dave. His birthday was last Wednesday (24th). I found a garden colouring page online and used alcohol markers.

Animal Crossing - catching up

I stitched as much as I can on the green joy con controller because I ran out of DMC 954 floss (3 full skeins).  I will have to go to Walmart to get more floss.  I will buy a few more for the blue joy con because I won’t have enough to do that one either.  I finally finished crossing the half stitches on the bottom right black home button.  I added the Jolly Redd icon under the yellow ribbon that I designed for the Facebook Group.  I also restitched the  words New Horizons on the tag in the top right corner of the screen with 1 strand of DMC 992 (same as the green floating island and palm tree on the tag).

Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2021

Here is the St. Patrick’s Day card I made for my Mother-in-law this year.  We added a $20 dollar bill so she could buy herself some scratch tickets from us.  If I buy them in Ontario she can’t cash them in in New Brunswick.

She is very lucky on scratch tickets, she actually doubled her money form us. She bought $20.00 worth of tickets and won $40.00.  Her daughters also gave her $20.00 for tickets and she won $90.00.

Last night I worked on filling in more green on the joy con controller.

Animal Crossing - Black buttons & joystick

Last night I added the white letters “ A, B, X and Y” to the 4 control buttons. The big button is the right joystitck and the new black circle (half black stitches) at the bottom is the home button.

Animal Crossing - Blue Joy Con Controller - update #3

I stitched the 4 buttons and a joy stick on the blue joy con controller sometime last week, but forgot to show a photo.
Here is the whole project so far.

1000pc puzzle

I have not been stitching the last few days. I’ve been busy making birthday cards for family and building jigsaw puzzles. Dave and I just finished this one yesterday.  It is so nice to look at a summer picture while we have snow outside.

Animal Crossing - Blue Joy Con Controller - update #2

I had a much better stitching session last night.  I managed to do half stitches for the 4 top buttons on the controller.  I completed the bottom one, but I still need to backstitch in white the letter “B” on the button.
Here is a photo showing the whole controller.  I still have a bigger round black button (joystitck) to stitch under these and a small round button.

I’m always thinking what else to add to the project.  Here is my latest design version showing 2 floating balloons with presents just like in the game.  I also placed the Jolly Redd (dog head) which I designed for the Facebook group.  I couldn’t place it on my secret beach because it is right under the letter C in the Animal Crossing logo, so I decided to place it in the bottom left corner to represent his boat floating towards or leaving my island.

On a side note.  If you have left me a comment and I have not replied it is because my comments are no longer going to my emails.  I have to go on my blog and manually check.  I have looked everywhere but cannot see a button to click to fix this.  I have tried googling the info, but I must not be asking the right question because I cannot find the info.
