A full set of DMC floss is wound on bobbins and stored in a wooden custom cabinet that I designed and commissioned someone to build for me over 20+ years ago. I designed it to fit the plastic craft cases to hold floss/beads/jewelry without the handle and lid. One of these days I might get around to staining it or maybe just a clear coat to protect it. It sits on a shelf in my craft room out of the sun so it hasn't been a problem yet.
I store all of my extra DMC floss (regular), all of the metallic and variegated in floss-away bags which I store in small containers by type and/or numbers.
I want one/two/three of these!!!
ReplyDeleteI have 12 boxes of threads, and no matter how they are stored (horizontally, vertically, in order or not) the box I need is usually somewhere near the back or bottom. This is such a practical design; well done you!
