Blackwork Happy Dance

At the end of October I took a Liz Almond Blackwork class at my LNS Stitcher's Place.  I just finished my class piece.  I will probably make it into a scissor fob.  Here is a photo of my finished blackwork project.

Cross Stitch Workshop

Tonight I attended my first Blackwork Workshop.  My LNS (Stitcher's Place) was hosting Elizabeth Almond of Blackwork Journey from the UK.  She is doing another workshop tomorrow during the day but I have to work.  I have done blackwork before, but never taken a class.  Here are some photos from tonights class.  There were 11 ladies stitching (and Liz).

There were several new faces tonight, ladies that don't come to our regular Tuesday night Stitching Club.

Wilma (owner of Stitcher's Place) at the top of the photo (black sweater), Rita to her right, and Leigh in the bottom corner.  I was sitting beside Leigh and Deborah was across from me.  We are all from the Tuesday night stitchering club.

This is what I stitched tonight.  I still have more to do.  I also bought one of Liz's patterns, I chose the Maple Leaf Wreath because she is visiting Canada.  Liz was very nice and signed the chart for me.   It was a pleasure to meet Liz, she is a very talented stitcher.  

   

Elizabeth Almond Blackwork Class
