F is for ... Four Seasons

I have done 3 different projects to celebrate the four seasons. The 1st one was the Four Seasons Bunnies. It was in the Cross Stitch and Needlework Magazines in 1999/2000.

The 2nd one is my favourite called As the Seasons Change. I stitched this in 2001.

The 3rd one was the Four Seasons Birds. I stitched it in 2011 for my husband because he likes watching/feeding the birds in the backyard.

E is for ... Eeyore and the Bees

In 2009, a co-worker had bought a cross stitch kit but never got around to stitching it. She knew I stitched and asked if I would stitch it for her. I jumped at the chance because Eeyore is my favourite character from Winnie-the-Pooh.

D is for ... Down Main Street

I stitched these for another friend Karen in 2003. The chart/pattern were in 3 parts in Just Cross Stitch 2001. I loved the colours in these 3 stores.

C is for ... Cats

Dave's sisters (my sister-in-laws) both have cats instead of children, so I wanted to do something with cats.

Diane has 2 black cats, so I stitched the 2 black cats for her (1998). I used 14ct black aida (first time), and the charts were in For the Love of Cross Stitch Magazines.

Karen also has 2 cats. I stitched this project and made it into a hanging banner (2003).

B is for ... Blackwork Iris

I stitched this for my friend Kim. Her oldest son Tom and my youngest son Jordyn met in Grade One (both will be 20 years old this year), our families have been friends ever since. I love stitching for my friends, so I gave Kim my cross stitch magazines to look through and this is what she chose. This was my first blackwork project.

A to Z Blogging Challenge (unofficially participating)

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com

I am unofficially participating in the A to Z Challenge. I saw it last year and then forgot about it until today when I noticed it on EvalinaMaria's blog .
I will try it unofficially to see if I can do all 26 letters of the alphabet.

I'm going to try and pick cross stitch as my theme. These can be something I have stitched, or want to stitch in the future. Not sure if I will find something for every letter but here goes.

A is for Alphabet ... Dragon Dreams alphabet. I won this pattern several years ago (Dani the Stitching Dragon contest). It is on my Cross Stitch To-Do list.
