IHSW - March 2015

I didn't have a lot of time to stitch this weekend, but when I did it was on my Ribbon Candy ornament.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!

I'd like to share with you a project I stitched in 2009 called Old Celtic Blessing.  I made it for my Nana who was Irish.  It hangs in the front entrance of my home, I received it back after she passed away.  It reminds me of her when I see it every morning on my way out the door.
It is Tuesday night and I was at the Stitcher's Club and felt like doing something green on St. Patrick's Day.  I started a new green shamrocks project called Faith, Hope, Love and Luck which is a freebie from the Kreinik website.

Mine will of course look very different.  I'm stitching mine on 28ct white evenweave, with various shades of green DMC floss.  Not sure if I will use metallic threads.  I'm deciding on colours as I go along.  Here is my progress from tonight.

Snowman Wisdom by Sue Hillis

I have had a few people (CJ and Jacquie) ask me about the Snowman Wisdom project.  Here is what it will look like when it is completed.
As you can see I'm at the half way mark.

Ribbon Candy Ornament

I decided that I want to take small projects to my Tuesday Night Stitcher's Club instead of taking Snowman Wisdom which is on my floor stand.  On  Saturday, I kitted and started an ornament that looks like the ribbon candy you can buy at Christmas time.  You can find it in the Cross Stitch and Needlework - January 2014.

I have stitched about 1/3 of the pattern.

Snowman Wisdom update 7

March is starting out great for stitching.  Sunday I stitched the words It takes a few extra rolls to make a good midsection, and Monday night I worked on the snowman's midsection.

Tonight is Stitcher's Club at Stitcher's Place (LNS), we'll see how much stitching I get done.
