Stitcher's Place - Happy Dance

I completed Stitcher's Place late Friday night around midnight.  Here is the completed project and a few photos showing the real cross stitch store in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

This one I borrowed from Google Street view.  The retail store is on the left side and our Cross Stitch Club & workshops are held on the right side.

This one I borrowed from Stitcher's Place website.  There is room to park in the front and back of the building.  Stitcher's Place also sells online wwwstitchersplace.com .

Worked on the backstitching at the bottom and around the left side of the roof.  Also started filling in the white on the front door.  Should be able to complete it this weekend.  :)

Tuesday night I went to Stitcher's Club at my LNS and worked on Stitcher's Place.  I got quite a bit done, then came home and stitched a few more hours.  I'm getting closer to a finish.   Just the roof, and balcony door, and main entrance to do.  Hope to have it completed by the weekend.

One of my commenters was asking if I was almost finished.  I am getting  closer to a finish.  Here is a photo of what the finished project will look like.  I will not be stitching the border around.  I'm only stitching the house (Stitcher's Place retail store).

I continued working on the left side of the house and balcony.  I'm trying to finish this fast, so I can start something new ... maybe a Just Nan mouse.

Last night I had some more time to stitch.  I finished the blue around the left window and started on the left side of the balcony.

Last night at Stitcher's Club I continued working on Stitcher's Place by Tiny Modernist.  I stitched on the left window and continued backstitching.

Labour Day Monday I sat and stitched most of the afternoon and evening.  I even started backstitching.

Weekend stitching and painting

I had a productive weekend.  I continued working on Tiny Miniaturists chart of my LNS Stitcher's Place.

Dave & I also started an outdoor painting project.   We have 2 single chairs (adirondack) and a double with a table that are now very old and weathered.  We decided to brighten up our backyard with some paint instead of restaining them.  Here is a before and after for 1 of the single chairs.  We only did one to see how we would like it.  We LOVE the new look.  The other single will be painted orange next weekend if the weather is nice.  Still not sure what colour to do the double chairs.

Year in Review update

I wanted to stitch the following projects in 2015, but nothing is completed and I cannot believe the year is half over.

Paradise - Stoney Creek - Not sure if it will be done in 2015 or 2016

Snowman Wisdom - Sue Hillis - YES, I'm still working on it.

Mouth of the Flower - Stitching Studio - NO, decided this will be this year

Family of Birds - Stitching Studio - NO, decided this will be this year

Floral Fifteen (15 sided biscornu) - Just Nan - NO, but still hoping to finish in 2015

Exchanges - Friendship YES, this was in February

Gingerbread Mice - NO, I haven't started them (I still have 2 or 3)

Happy Dance and a New Start

Last night I added the beads and did the back stitching around the outside of Just Nan's Bluebird Tweet.  I love how colourful and summery the bird is.  Not sure when I will have time to assemble it, I'll add him to the "unfinished pile".

I wasn't tired last night so I started a new project.  It is a SAL with Wilma (owner of Stitcher's Place) and Leigh (one of our regular cross stitch club members).  Tiny Modernist is coming to my LNS in July,  so she created an exclusive pattern ... the front facade of Stitcher's Place.  I'm stitching mine over 2 on 28ct white evenweave.   I am starting in the middle around the front door.  I will not be stitching the floss or hearts around the house.
