Today is my future daughter-in-law Sarah's 25th birthday. Here is the card I made for her. Can you tell her favourite colour is blue?

Peppermint Purple (Green) - frogging border
I just removed some of the borders. I am about to start stitching week 22.

Peppermint Purple (Green) - week 21
Tonight I did some stitching on Peppermint Purple SAL. I stitched the block for week 21. I noticed that the border is off by one stitch on this row and the one below. I adjusted the block before this one (week 20) and thought it was only that one, but no it is all the rest of the borders that I stitched. I guess I have some frogging to do.

Here is the whole project. If I were to ever stitch this project again, I would use a darker thread for inside the blocks. I find the lighter green looks lost. I have seen some on Facebook that have used 2 colours in each block to show more detail in the blackwork. For example block 2, they stitched the lines inside the weave and the “x” inside the boxes with a different colour than the border on each weave. I’m tempted to frog and restart, but I already did that enough at the beginning and I don’t want to waste time or floss. :)

2000 piece Jigsaw Puzzle
I started this puzzle over a week ago. Finished the border that same day, but Dave & I haven’t had time or didn’t feel like working on it yet. We are usually spending time in the garden planting or weeding, now that it is summer weather. The pieces are larger than usual and it has lots of colours, so it should be easy to do once we start. I like that it comes with a poster.

Designing my own cross stitch patterns
I designed the Monster Book of Monsters and the Time Turner charts to use in Chapter 3 of Stitch Your Own Adventure (SYOA) Letters From Hogwarts.
I spent most of the day finalizing my patterns in Pattern Maker by HobbyWare.
Then screen captured image and saved as a jpeg which I inserted into a Word document. Added some stitching instructions.
Then I saved the Word document into a pdf form.
Finally was able to upload pdf file onto the Facebook Group for everyone to enjoy.
What a pain in the neck, but I learned some stuff and everyone in the group is happy.
I wasted cross stitch and video game time. :(
Here is the Monster Book of Monsters chart. If you want a copy of the pdf (with floss colours) leave me a comment and I can email it to you.
Here is the Time Turner chart. Leave comment if you want pdf of the chart.
